Uninet Licensing Profiles

This page lists the currently available licensing profiles for Uninet and/or UninetEngine and will help you form an idea about which licence would best apply to you. Please send an email to dan [at] lighttwist-software [dot] com including a couple of sentences describing your project and organisation. We will address any questions you have, create a licence for you and send you an installer for the latest version of Uninet.

1. Academic Licence

This licence allows the use of Uninet for strictly non-commercial purposes. The licence is free, and is granted for an indefinite period of time.

2. Trial Commercial Licence

This licence allows the use of Uninet for commercial purposes. The licence is free, and is granted for a specific period of time (typically a few months). After the time elapses, a commercial licence can be requested.

3. Commercial Licence

This licence allows the use of Uninet for commercial purposes. The licence comes at a cost, to be negotiated individually (typically around 500 EUR, for a permanent licence), and can be granted either indefinitely or for a specific period of time.

4. Developer’s Licence

Such a licence allows the licensee to interact directly with Uninet’s powerful software engine; a comprehensive set of API (a large COM library) including full documentation, is delivered so that the client can build upon Uninet’s functionality. The price of a developer’s licence is the equivalent of 3 commercial licences. If the licensee wishes to build an application based Uninet’s engine and then sell this application, this is possible and the details will be negotiated from case to case.

5. Uninet Shareholder Licence

This is a special licence for clients who wish to invest in Uninet and stir the course of its development in areas they are interested in. They will be able to request features, and will have a permanent right to use the functionality that they have requested. These licences are negotiated individually.
